About the Sky View Mountain Bike Team

The Sky View High School Mountain Bike Team is dedicated to educating and empowering youth through the sport of mountain biking. Open to students in grades 7 through 12, our program fosters learning beyond the classroom, providing hands-on experiences in trail safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible outdoor recreation. Riders of all skill levels gain confidence, develop technical abilities, and build lifelong leadership skills in a fun and inclusive environment.

Our mission extends beyond competition. While we participate in a series of races throughout Utah, our primary focus is on education and personal growth. Through structured training, events, and team activities, we teach students safe riding techniques, proper bike maintenance, and the principles of environmental conservation, ensuring they become responsible trail users and advocates for outdoor recreation.

As part of our commitment to community engagement and education, our athletes contribute to trail development, improvement, and maintenance efforts, helping to sustain access to local outdoor spaces for future generations. These experiences instill a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and leadership, preparing students for success both on and off the trail.

Because we are a club sport, we receive no funding from local schools or districts and rely on community support and fees to provide these valuable educational experiences. With the dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, and supporters, we are building a program that not only develops strong riders but also educates and inspires future outdoor leaders in Cache Valley.
