About the Sky View Mountain Bike Team
The Sky View High School Mountain Bike Team is more than just a group of student-athletes—it’s a community dedicated to developing strong minds, bodies, and character through the sport of mountain biking. Open to students in grades 7 through 12, our program provides a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment where riders of all skill levels can develop their abilities, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. Whether new to the sport or an experienced rider, every student has the opportunity to grow and challenge themselves both on and off the trail.
Our mission extends beyond competition. We are committed to educating children and teens on trail safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible outdoor recreation to ensure future generations can enjoy the beauty of our local trails. Through organized training, events, and competitions as part of the Utah High School Cycling League and the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), we promote physical and mental health, teamwork, and leadership, helping our athletes build lifelong skills. Additionally, our team actively supports the local community by contributing to trail development, improvement, and maintenance efforts, fostering sustainable outdoor access for all.
While we compete in a series of races throughout Utah, our focus is on personal growth, sportsmanship, and fostering a love for the outdoors. Because we are a club sport, we receive no funding from local schools or districts and rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses to support our athletes. With the dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, and community, we are building an enduring and impactful program that enriches the lives of young riders and strengthens outdoor recreation opportunities throughout Cache Valley.
