ELIGIBILITY

The Sky View Mountain Bike Team has an open registration (no tryouts) and a "no bench" rule, everybody rides, everybody races. That means if you want to race mountain bikes with us, the only requirements are:

• Must live within the Sky View High School Boundaries and be a 7th-12th grade student in the 2024-25 school year (exceptions must be approved by the Utah High School Mountain Bike League). Currently those living in Franklin County can race with Sky View if they choose. Please reach out for more information.

• Be committed to the team:

  • Plan to attend most practices.

  • Race attendance: please plan to attend all the races that you qualify for.

  • Cheer and support our team: Race day is not only a chance for you to race, but also a great chance to get out and cheer on other Sky View team members. And in turn they will be there to cheer you on. Please plan to come early or stay after your race to cheer for your team.

  • Volunteer: We will have several trail maintenance days; we expect student athletes to attend at least one of these events. Someone put in the time to build the trails we ride, and we need to pass it forward by maintaining, improving, and building new trails.

• Must be respectful of those we associate with including team members, coaches, parents, other trail users, and other teams.

• Must follow all team rules.

• Ultimately, if you want to ride and race, we ask that you be dedicated. We’ll give you our dedication and support in return. Let’s be there for each other.
